The members of the Newton-Stewart Christian Union, together with a few friends, numbering about 130, were entertained on Christmas night by Mr James Vernon in one of his large workshops. The treat, which was a liberal one, it together with suitable addresses, readings, essays, singing, &c., formed an excellent evening's entertainment.
