WILL OF MOSES COBURN

In the name of God Amen I Moses Coburn of Sheffield in the County of Sunbury and Province of New Brunswick Yeoman, being sick and weary in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die to make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul unto the hands of "Almighty God who gave it life my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the descretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurections I shall receive the same again by the Mighty Power of God and so touching such Worldly Estate where-with it has Pleased God to bless me with in this life 1 devise and dispose of it in the following manner and form.

I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Hannah all my household furniture to be entirely at her disposal and the use and improvement of my dwelling House in Sheffield aforesaid also the use and Improvement of one third of my land in said Sheffield during her natural life also the use and improvement of two cows, six sheep, and a horse to be kept for the Sumner and Winter at the expense of my sons Moses,: David, and Jonathan.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Stephen in addition to which I have already given him as his portion the sum of five shillings to be paid him by my Executors.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved sons, Moses, David, and Jonathan all my land in said Sheffield with this apportionally likewise all my farming utensils together with all my stock of neat Cattle, horses, Sheep and Swine (excepting the Cows and Sheep herein otherwise bequeathed) also all my wearing apparel. They paying my just and lawful debts and I do likewise constitute and appoint my sons Moses and David afore-said the Executors of this my Last Will and Testament and further give and bequeath to them the use and improvement of what I have bequeathed to my son Jonathan as aforesaid he shall arrive at the age of twenty-one years.

Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved daughters Betty and Hannah two cows and all the Sheep which they call their own and I do hereby disallow revoke and dismantle all and every other Testaments pills legacies Bequests and Executors by me in any case before named Will and bequest ratifying this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and Seal this thirty-first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred ninety-four and in the thirty fourth year of his Majesty's Reign Signed sealed published pronounced and disclosed by the said Moses Coburn as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and the presence of each other have hereunto Subscribed our names.
